Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Timing can be awkward when a wasp nest turns up just before a viewing, survey or new tenants arrive. Here is how to handle it calmly and quickly.
Pets do not understand warnings, so a nest in the garden turns every dog walk and cat patrol into a risk that the owner has to manage.
The roof edge is a favourite nest site and a hard place to inspect, so binoculars, patience and a clear view from the ground are the best tools.
Leaving a nest in the hope it will go away is a tempting plan, but for most households it only prolongs the risk and the worry.
Fruit trees and fallen fruit are a wasp magnet in late summer, and picking, mowing or scooping up windfalls can put you right in the middle of them.
