Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
When a household member is allergic to stings, the right moves are to keep distance from the nest, tell us early and know what an emergency looks like.
Where children play and dogs roam, a nest in a lawn or flower bed is a risk that grows with every warm day, so the garden comes first.
A waiting room is a small, quiet space where a single wasp feels like a big event, so practice managers need a response that is calm, hygienic and quick.
The space under a deck or beneath a raised patio is dry, dark and rarely seen, which makes it a very attractive place for a wasp colony to start work.
When a nest at the roof edge has an opening into the house, wasps may start turning up at windows, in bedrooms or around light fittings.
