Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
If you rent, the nest may not be yours to deal with, and a tenancy agreement may say who arranges treatment. Safety, though, cannot wait for the paperwork.
A wasp nest on a house is usually found in a handful of predictable places, and the calendar tells you when to look at each one.
A convenience store sells sweet drinks, snacks and ice cream all day, and its bins and delivery bays can quietly feed a nest that no one has noticed yet.
A trampoline or swing set next to a hedge is the kind of vibration a wasp nest does not forgive, so children need to be kept clear.
When you cannot see colour or fine detail, the outline of an insect in flight or at rest still tells you a good deal, and this guide shows what to look for.
“I noticed a wasp nest forming under our roof tiles and didn’t want to risk tackling it myself. Wasp Exterminators Kent came out the same day, treated it in under 30 minutes, and we haven’t seen a single wasp since. Very professional and friendly service – highly recommended!”
Sarah M. – Maidstone“Very happy with this company I work in a nursery and we had a wasp nest in the garden near to the door, they were with us within the hour and sprayed it, would recommend these.”
