Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Roof work often means surprises on the bill. With a wasp nest the price is set in advance and does not move for height, access or timing. Here is how that works.
Cream teas, jam pots and tables under the roses are lovely until the wasps notice, and a tea room needs a gentle, unfussy answer that keeps its customers calm.
A small, innocent-looking gap can lead to a very large colony, and that mismatch is the heart of why hidden nests are tricky.
A cluster of wasps at an upstairs window directly beneath the eaves is often a sign of a nest just above it, because the window sits close to the entrance.
Planting for pollinators brings bees into the garden, so it helps to know which visitors are welcome guests and which suggest a nest that needs professional attention.
“I noticed a wasp nest forming under our roof tiles and didn’t want to risk tackling it myself. Wasp Exterminators Kent came out the same day, treated it in under 30 minutes, and we haven’t seen a single wasp since. Very professional and friendly service – highly recommended!”
