Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
The hole you can see is rarely the nest itself. This guide explains why the entrance and the nest can be some distance apart, and how that affects what you do.
On a warm evening, with the windows open and the lights on, wasps can find their way indoors, and the calendar helps you work out what it means.
Barn venues are booked a year ahead and used for a few big days, so the quiet weeks between are exactly when a wasp nest can settle in.
Many stings happen to people trying to tackle a nest themselves at dusk, so a clear idea of what goes wrong is the best protection.
A wall covered in ivy or another climber looks lovely, but it hides cracks, gaps and the comings and goings of any insects that live behind it.
“Brilliant service from start to finish. Quick response, fixed price, and no hidden charges. The technician was really informative and made sure we stayed safe while the treatment worked. Will definitely use them again if needed.”
James R. – Canterbury“I noticed a wasp nest forming under our roof tiles and didn’t want to risk tackling it myself. Wasp Exterminators Kent came out the same day, treated it in under 30 minutes, and we haven’t seen a single wasp since. Very professional and friendly service – highly recommended!”
Sarah M. – Maidstone“Very happy with this company I work in a nursery and we had a wasp nest in the garden near to the door, they were with us within the hour and sprayed it, would recommend these.”
