Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Open windows and doors in warm weather invite wasps into the home. If they keep coming, a roof nest nearby is the likely cause, and no amount of window-watching will solve it.
When the nest is in a neighbour's shed, you cannot simply deal with it yourself. This guide covers a friendly approach and practical safety steps.
A careful look at the outside of the house on a warm afternoon can show where wasps are getting in, and help a technician go straight to the right place.
A seasonal unit that has been shut all winter is the sort of quiet, sheltered spot a wasp likes, so the opening-day check is worth doing properly.
A buzzing insect against the glass is alarming, but it is not necessarily evidence of a nest, and a few simple checks will tell you what you are dealing with.
