Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
A common idea is to investigate after dark, when wasps are quiet. It is a poor one. Here is why dusk and night are the wrong times to go near a roof nest.
Properties with plenty of eaves, outbuildings or planting can host more than one colony, and knowing how to check for a second nest saves a return visit.
Clothes drying outdoors and shoes left by the door make easy hiding places for wasps, and many stings happen when someone puts something on without looking.
Before booking, it helps to know exactly what the price includes; this guide sets out the fixed fee, the one-visit promise and how the days around the visit run.
Wasps do not keep office hours, and a nest is often discovered on a Saturday, so it helps to know that evening and weekend appointments are available.
