Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Nests in hedges and trees are easy to brush against without noticing, so marking the danger zone and keeping clear is the first job after booking.
A nest found in May is far smaller than one in August, but it is the same colony and it is easier to handle. Early action is the calmest route.
Garden centres and nurseries are full of flowers, fruit trees and café tables, which wasps love, so a managed approach keeps browsing and tea breaks pleasant.
If someone at home is allergic to stings, waiting is the hard part; this guide covers how to book, how to stay safe before the visit and how treatment runs.
A nest does not appear at full size. Following the calendar from late April to August shows how the risk grows and why spring is the best time to act.
